Kate Broderick

is a dual-qualified Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist, mum of five, and passionate advocate for neurodiversity-affirming, family-centred support.

With more than 25 years of clinical experience working alongside children, young people and their families, Kate understands that navigating the NDIS can feel overwhelming, particularly for parents and carers who are already balancing the everyday demands of supporting a child with additional needs.

Through her clinical experience and work with families, Kate recognises that accessing support is about more than understanding funding and paperwork. It is about helping families understand their child's needs, communicate what matters most, and feel confident advocating for the support that makes a meaningful difference in everyday life.

Kate believes families should feel heard, respected and supported throughout their NDIS journey. Parents know their children in ways no one else does, and their observations, experiences and understanding of their child's everyday needs deserve to be recognised.

In this workshop, Kate will guide parents, carers and families through the NDIS journey, helping them better understand the process, prepare for planning conversations, identify meaningful goals, and communicate their child's support needs. The workshop will also explore the importance of understanding available supports and knowing where to seek further guidance.

Ultimately, Kate's message is simple: You don't have to navigate the NDIS alone. When families are given the right information, feel listened to, and understand their options, they can take the next steps with greater confidence and clarity.
